The Sumo PD82X is a professional petrol-engine post driver that drives posts and stakes of up to 82 mm in diameter into the ground. At its heart is the well-known Honda GX35 four-stroke engine, which delivers a high blow rate and steady power throughout the working day. Unlike compressor-driven models, the PD82X needs no separate air tank or hoses – the whole system is integrated into one compact unit that moves with the operator.
The post driver is designed so that the weight of the machine and its internal impact mechanism do all the work – the operator only has to hold the tool on top of the post and guide it. A special vibration-damped handle system considerably reduces the load on the arms and shoulders, which allows longer working times without fatigue.
Applications
The PD82X is suitable anywhere posts or stakes need to be installed quickly – especially where a tractor or other large machinery cannot reach. Typical uses include:
