The Avant tree shear is a very practical and efficient attachment, ideally suited to forest thinning and clearing brush. It lets you fell thinner trees quickly and safely.
The working process is simple and secure: the strong jaws of the shear clamp the trunk firmly in place, and a powerful hydraulic cylinder then pushes the blade through the wood. Straight after the cut, the loader makes it easy to lift the felled trunk exactly where you want it.
One clever detail makes this attachment especially versatile: the blade can be turned through 180 degrees. In that position the cutting function is disabled and the whole unit works simply as an ordinary log grapple. This gives the operator far more flexibility in forest maintenance, because several different jobs can be done smoothly with one and the same tool.
