The Avant flail mower is built for the most demanding land maintenance work. This tough, capable attachment is the best helper for clearing neglected hay meadows, dense undergrowth, tussocky ground and overgrown ditch banks. The mower effortlessly shreds long grass, tough scrub and branches up to 20 mm thick, quickly turning untidy plots into well-kept areas.
An updated design and well thought-out technical solutions deliver excellent mowing performance even where hydraulic power or engine output is limited. Blades arranged in a spiral around the shaft give a smoother, more efficient cut and spread the load more evenly. Because the hydraulic motor is connected directly to the shaft, power transmission is fully optimised and maintenance needs are minimal.
The new floating system lets the mower move freely in the vertical plane and tilt sideways, so the machine follows uneven ground perfectly. Wider support skids on the sides and a larger rear roller also make movement more stable and smoother, reducing resistance as the machine moves forward.
