The Avant forestry mulcher is designed specifically for clearing dense scrub, bushes and similar vegetation. It can also fell and shred smaller trees and crush low stumps that protrude from the ground. A hydraulic motor is mounted directly on the rotor, giving an efficient direct drive, and the material is shredded by hard-wearing carbide teeth. <\/p>\n\n
A hydraulically adjustable hatch at the front of the attachment makes work flexible. With the hatch open, standing scrub and timber feed straight into the rotor, preventing the vegetation from bending under the machine before it is cut. A closed hatch, on the other hand, stops shredded material from flying out dangerously and produces a finer, more even layer of mulch. A horizontal push frame on the front of the mulcher guides the material being cut and is also a great help when pushing aside and turning fallen trees or branches. <\/p>\n\n
The mulcher comes with support skids and adjustable front and rear counter blades as standard. Knife-shaped cutting blades and a hydraulic oil cooler for work in extreme conditions are available as options (using the cooler requires the loader to have the Opticontrol\u00ae system). <\/p>\n\n
Because pieces of wood may fly out of the machine at high speed during work, a closed cab (GT, DLX or LX models) is strictly required on the loader for safety reasons.<\/p>\n\n
